"Nothing" because I couldn't come up with a word for "whine," "gripe," or "kvetch" that begins with "N." At the halfway point, this here A to Z Blogging
Challenge is turning out to be, well, a challenge, and I have to admit,
I'm struggling here. I'm getting started on my posts later and later
each day and staying up later and later to finish them. The mainspring
is starting to wind down, and the writing that came so freely and easily
at the beginning of the month is starting to feel decidedly chore-like. Which is just something that must be worked through, one foot in front of the other. But not tonight. I had
alternately considered writing on New and Improved, Nostalgia, Dodger
great Don "Newk" Newcombe and even Nickel Plating,
of all things, but after a twelve-hour work day, I'm fried and can't muster the energy to do any one of them.
So I hit the pillow and salute all my fellow A-to-Z bloggers who aren't copping out and phoning it in today and hope to rejoin them tomorrow.
I love it. Even when there's nothing, there's something worth reading. Here's to your next 12 posts - half way there, you can do it! :)
ReplyDeleteAh,Joan, you know exactly what to say to a person. Thank you for the encouragement, it was just what I needed.
ReplyDeleteJer,
ReplyDeleteNothing is better than Spiro Agnew's "nattering nabobs of negativism." I'm with Joan. You can do it!
Thanks, Dennis. I've been so busy I've neglected meeting some of the great people in your life. But I'll get caught up.
DeleteThatta boy!!! Way to join the slackers for a day!!! Onward to tomorrow, my friend. Your fans are waiting.
ReplyDeleteMy WOK pals, with me through thick and thin. Slackers of the world, unite! Next week!
DeleteI seem to remember the "come-on" that the posts on this blog challenge didn't have to be very long. You've still got your foot in the ring! Looking forward to your next post. ~ xoA
ReplyDeleteYeah, I don't mind short, but I do want to avoid half-assed. :)
ReplyDeleteI think a lot of us hit that mid-month struggling point. I know I am. I think it would be so much easier if I had preplanned my posts, but as it turned out I changed my topic at the last minute and now I writing the day or night before. I tell you, next year? Prewriting and scheduled posts is the way to go!!
ReplyDeleteStopping by from A to Z.
I know I'm definitely not alone. I'm with you; I think I'll do more work ahead of time next year.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you - this past week has been hard. I've had a lot of other life going on and I have struggled to get my posts done and I have been lousy at visiting. Thankfully a few things cancelled this weekend so maybe I will get back on track. I managed to get one of my blogs pre set for the whole A-Z. My devotional blog I write every day but usually I have Saturdays to catch up or get ahead.
ReplyDeleteNice to know we are not struggling alone.
You can do this - you have a great start - press on to the finish.
Blessings,
Margot at A Devotional Mosaic and Spark My Creativity
Thanks, Margot. The mid-challenge struggle has definitely been a common theme with A to Z bloggers this week. Good to know we're all in it together.
