  1. Check out "Christmas Tonight" by Dave Barnes with Hillary Scott. I'm a staunch, die-hard, traditional Christmas music fan, but this new song has me humming in my head even three months past Christmas. In my opinion, Hillary Scott's voice makes it a beautiful, instant classic, but she isn't even featured in the video. (You may recognize her as the lead singer in the country group Lady Antebellum.)

  2. Thanks, Dana. I'm open to "new classics" as you can see from me including 3 from Amy Grant, my fanship of whom otherwise petered out sometime around 1990. But "Home for Christmas" was a brilliant album.

(I first read your comment on my Blackberry, and as I scrolled down and read "...the lead singer in the country group...," for one horrible moment, I thought you were going to say Sugarland. Because let me tell you, I will never listen to them or heinous quacking of Jennifer Nettles outside of a torture room.)
